Tom from Arizona sent in these pictures of his beautiful 1969 Cadillac Eldorado. He sent these to me months ago but they got lost in my email until today.
This elegant Eldorado was purchased new at Columbus Car Co. in Columbus, OH. In November of 1968. It was bought new by Wesley H. Minister as a Christmas present for his wife Millie. I purchased this Caddy in May of 2011 and it has a very interesting history. It is an all original, 34k mile car. What makes it unique is it was ordered through the General Motors “COPO” program (Central Office Production Order). Cadillac at the time had a “Special Request” option for all their models. You could custom order the exterior color or the interior color and fabric as long as it was a previous year Cadillac selection and conformed. This car was ordered under this program to be painted a 1957 Cadillac color, Arlington Green, which is still on the car. 5 vintage unopened cans of this color were in the trunk. Note the – – for paint code. It also came with the very expensive Vogue bias ply tires, original in the trunk. Most all options are on this car including “seat heat” (a bun warmer!). I have the build sheet verifying all the options. Pretty neat ride and one that’s had a very good life!
Thanks Tom for sending these in. I am sorry I didn’t get the pictures up sooner.

What a beautiful Cadillac, I love the style of this year, nice and all original with only 34,000 miles on it.
It would look fantastic all hand drawn and hand painted on a T-shirt. Tom, if you ever want your Cadillac Eldordor hand painted on a T-shirt, I do Cadillacs and LaSalles on t-shirts. You can see many samples of Cadillacs I have done under the Automotive Art Forum in the Cadillac Country Club. I did a Black ’70 Eldorado for a gentleman a few years back. The cars are all hand drawn and hand painted, my art is artwork of Cadillacs on T-shirts.Never wash out either.
Thanks for showing all the members of the cadillac Country Club your rare find and beautiful treasure. I am sure you woill receive many coments on it in the future as you drive and show it. I see that you have a ’61 Chevrolet Station Wagon too, which I could paint it on a T-shirt as well if you are interested.
My prices are also in the Cadillac Country Club Automotive Art Forum.

This is a very unique Eldo , as a 1970 Eldo owner , i had spent a lot a research time into these cars and this is a new one to me.
I am familar with other COPO Camaros and Chevelles , etc but never a Caddy .
This may be a challenge to other Casdy fans to talk about COPO

Very nice Vin, like the way the floor mat (still rubber until 1972- I believe) is so well preserved .

Another unusual detail on this beautiful car is that the front roof pillars and around the “halo” vinyl roof has all been painted black–would this have been from the factory this way? It’s great to see such a magnificent example of this beautiful model of Cadillac!
