1950 Cadillac In California Update

By Vinny O'Hare

Got an email a few weeks ago from William who has finished rebuilding his 1950 Cadillac Coupe Deville. William has been a member of our club for a long time you can see his original page with pictures of his car that we made about 5 years ago.

Thank you William for sending in the pictures. She sure is a beauty!

UPDATE: For those interested we have rebuilt my our house about 80% so far and we are moving along rather fast. I am suspecting we will be done in a few months and we will get back to normal. Thanks for all the well wishes and the emails, It was very inspiring to say the least.

The next few weeks there will be a few more post that usual since I have been backed up on email and such. This Wednesday and Thursday I will be going to the New York Auto Show and will get pictures and maybe even some video if I can find the camcorder. They are unveiling the 2014 Cadillac CTS and hopefully they bring along the Cadillac ELR also. I am looking forward to that. Still can’t believe Cadillac built an electric car.

1961 Cadillac Series 62

By Vinny O'Hare

I know it has been a long time since I updated the site but as you know the Hurricane kind of changed my life. I am typing this from Phoenix Arizona where we rented a home while I rebuild the old house. My girlfriends daughter lives out here so that is why we rented out here. I go back on Monday to start the rebuild. Thank you for all the emails! The support we received was overwhelming to say the least.

We just got back after spending a week at a conference in Las Vegas. As you know I love going to Las Vegas so I can go to the Auto Collection show at “The Quad”! The Quad is the new name for the Imperial Palace casino. I just love taking pictures of the classic Cadillacs and sharing them with you all.

This time they had a beautiful 1961 series 62 Cadillac convertible that was smoking red hot! It was by far the best looking Cadillac that I have saw in person. While I took like 100 pictures I took the best 2 to show you for now. I will make another post with the rest of the pictures. This Cadillac had the original jack and spare tire. As I was taking pictures one of the staff came over and let me get some close up pictures. Thanks Ken

I will be updating with more pictures as soon as I can. Since the hurricane took away my old laptop I have no way of updating the main site for now. That will change soon!

Heading to Barrett-Jackson

While I am in Phoenix for the weekend I am planning on heading up to the Barrett-Jackson auction one of the days. They have a strict policy about photographing the cars but I am sure I can sneak one in from my cell phone.  Maybe I will get lucky and run into April Rose in the Speed Social Garage!

1956 Cadillac Convertible

By Vinny O'Hare

I have been exchanging emails with Reg from Australia who has a sweet 1956 Cadillac that I am sure our members would love to see. Below is our emails and some pictures of this great Cadillac.

Sweet looking 1956 red Cadillac convertible.

Hi Vinny
I think I might qualify as one of your most distant members all the way from Perth Western Australia. The car below I brought from Lee Wolf of Vintage Motor Cars in Ohio, yes on the internet, sight unseen and a eight week wait. But it turned out to be exactly what Lee said it would be. They were so good to do business with and I felt safe and sure dealing with them every step of the way.

I was  surprised when contacted by the Cadillac Survivors Club that there are only 84 of the 1956 EBs on there list an 50 of them are located outside of America. Also did you know that Australians are importing over 11,000 classic cars from the US each year. Most common is the Mustang.

This is my first Cadillac and I love it so does everyone I pass along the way. From young children to old grandmars , bikies and everybody else. It is great to drive so smooth and quite. Just  great on a warm summers night with family and friends.
Keep up the great work and let me know if you would like a few more photos.

Hi Vinny
I have attached a few more photos not sure what size image you wanted so if you want full size just let me know. The car in the last photo is a 1935 Bentley Derby I drove this car from Beijing to Paris in the Peking to Paris Rally October 2010. This is what got me hooked on old cars, the trip was 10,000 miles and the old Bentley never missed a beat.
Not one breakdown in the whole trip.

This is the link to my Ten Thousand Miles In ten minutes video  on YouTube.

This is the chassis number for my car 5662009752 I can track it back to a RM Auction 13 March 2010. I would love to hear from anyone who knows anything about this cars history,

Reg Toohey
