This Cadillac has been featured in a few of our newsletters as it has been to a few of the cruise nights I have been going to lately. It has never taken center stage though! I am a fan of the 1976 Cadillac Eldorado convertible. In what was suppose to be the last year that Cadillac was making the convertible this Cadillac stood out from the others. This also became controversial as they took the last 200 Cadillacs on the line and painted them white with red and blue stripes since it was the bicentennial year. When Cadillac started making convertibles again some owners tried to sue Cadillac but they didn’t succeed.
My favorite part is the color matching hubcaps, it really makes the Cadillac stand out.
You are also getting a sneak peak at the Cadillac in the next newsletter. I think it was the cleanest of all the Cadillacs that were lined up side by side at the show.
You can read more about 1976 Cadillac, and look at pictures of the 1976 Cadillac Sedan Deville Pictures.

Does anyone know the value of a 1976 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible with 1,600 original miles on it.
The car has been stored in a garage for many years. The car belonged to my Doctor’s mother.

I am a big fan of the 76 Eldorado Convertible also. Just a correction on the hubcaps though. All 76 Eldorados came with hubcaps black painted in the center. The exception being the 200 bicentennial cars that had white painted hubcaps. Color matching hubcaps were a feature of the 77 and 78 Eldos that kept the same body style but were only available as hard tops.

Thanks for the info Jim! I wonder why it was black. That doesn’t seem to match at all.

That $25k is good for a regular conv, but double it for a ’76 Bicentennial. They are all white with a red pinstripe on the white sets and a plaque on the dash. White center hubcaps, not black. – Joe
