Just received a cool email from Larry in Texas who just signed up for our club. He just became a Cadillac owner and you will be surprised at how he did it.
I had a 1995 Chevrolet Camaro that was eating me out of house and home in gas, (V6), in beautiful near perfect condition. 145,000 orig. miles on it. I went to a dealership nearby, looking for a Cadillac, and I was low on cash, so I asked if they had a nice Cadillac “in the back”, he said that one of the other sales persons traded for a Mercedes Benz the day before and traded this 1998 Caddy in.
We went to look at it and it wouldn’t start (battery cell out), got it started, and I drove it. It was near perfect itself with 96,000 miles on it. I fell in love! We started talking trade, he told me $777.00 cash and I could drive it home. I told him all I had was the title and car, NO MONEY, he said let me check on something, (went to talk to sales manager), came back and asked if I had $200.00.
I said I told you no, he went back to the manager, came back said Larry do you have $100.00 on you? I said no, I told him if it’s honest money you want, I have $21.00 on me I’ll give it to you, He went to talk again, came back, and said give me the $21.00 and handed me the keys! I am sooooo pleased with BOTH the car and the deal! I didn’t even pay lic. and tax. I got BLESSED!
I’ve had it 3 weeks now. All I have replaced on it was the battery, and the windshield wipers. Everything else is perfect! Oh yeah, when he took my $21.00 I asked him how was I going to get gas to get home? He went and put 9 gals. in it. GOD IS GOOD!

Yes Dave, you get returned to you, what you put out! Plus God is good! I truly got blessed! The T-shirt sounds killer! Finances around here in the great State of Texas isn’t good right now, but I am gonna keep your address and most likely order one later. I am extremely pleased with my Caddy. Thanks!

Larry,
Beautiful car and great story. Do you have more pictures and descriptions of your new ride? What’s under the hood? Leather or cloth? What kind of bells and whistles? Of course my pet question – is that a power antenna, and does it work? I ask because a non-working power antenna is the common denominator among my Caddies.
Larry says
Actually Earle, this pic. isn’t one of my Caddy. I “borrowed” one until I get my film developed. This one is as close as I could find. But mine is just as clean, if not more. It has ALL the bells and whistles, and yes, the antenna doesn’t work YET. I havent had the car long enough to get my film completed, and processed. Yes I’m old skool! Lol! As soon as I get it I am going to post it. It’s beautiful. I have had Cadillacs before but this one is, by far, the best one, with the lowest mileage, I’ve owned. It has leather, and all the other niceities, one would expect in a Cadillac. A BIG improvement over the Camaro I had. The Camaro was just as nice, I just didn’t feel as comfortable in it, it rode rough, plus it was a V-6, and used a LOT of gas.

I have a 1995 cadillac deville. I am on a fixed income due to back injury. I have owned nothing but cadillacs all my life . I am 52. I had my first caddy at the age of 15, a 1970 fleetwood!!!! And I had no drivers license lol!!!! Any way, I used to be a truck driver and and made 50,000 a year!!!! Now for the last 7 yrs, I am on ssi because of my back. After bouts of depression I have come to grips with my life and pray for a brighter day. My car needs alot of repair work, starter, power stering, shocks, tires,,and paint job. I wish pimp my ride was in st.louis so my car could get made over!!!! And I need front end work, and I have 8 grandkids, that I love dearly, but I dont pick them up anymore because my car is not safe. If any caddy lovers would find it in their hearts to help me out with parts and labor it would be greatly appreciated. Email me and I can give you my contact info. Thank you all and God bless!!!!
