Beverly from Texas sent us in a picture of her 2009 Cadillac XLR-V and wanted to share it with everyone. Here is her email.

Hi Vinny. I’m enjoying your newsletter very much. Thank you!
Below is a pic of my 2009 Limited Edition Cadillac XLR-V, red with black interior, which I just drove back from Austin and finally turned the odometer past 5,000 miles (Didn’t wash the road dust before I took this pic, so it is really much brighter and shinier when clean). I rarely drive the car, only when I want a joy ride with the top down and the wind blowing through my hair. It attracts so much attention, I have to dress up to drive it. The weather here in Texas has not been friendly to such treats lately.
2009 was the last year GM Cadillac made these cars, and they are rare. I have in writing from my dealer where I bought the car straight from Detroit to Houston for me, that only 892 total 2009 XLR-V’s were made, and only 11 in this color combination. It is a very rare and collectible car, which I love way too much, considering it can’t love me back.
I am very interested in finding all the info I can, and getting opinions and comments from you and your readers on my car. Of course, it is always for sale, but I promise you it is not available at a bargain price.
I anxiously await your comments, and any that your readers would like to share.

It is a beautiful automobile, I do like that color. I would like to see more pictures, know what is under the hood, and hear some more about the handleing of the car. I’m thinking you must have to be careful about where you park when th top in down, bet that black interieor can get hot in the texas sun.
Thank you, Earle. It is my pride and joy…and I don’t leave the top down if I’m not in it. You are right about the hot Texas sun in the summer. But, the seats and the steering wheel are air-conditioned, so it’s quite luxurious and comfortable. Sadly, since “we the people” now own GM, I know this excellence and attention to detail and luxury has diminished. I had to rent cars while traveling. One was a 2011 Monte Carlo, which was very nice compared to the average car; but one was a 2011 Cadillac CTS, also very nice, but just the same as the Monte Carlo, except for the difference in price, of course. I don’t think any Cadillac made after 2009 when the real GM closed will ever compare again in luxury, comfort, design, excellence. Keep your old Cadillac…they are the true treasures. Beverly K. What a beauty .. would like to see more pics !!!!
Thanks, Johnnyjr. I plan to take more pics for Dave in Canada to make me one of his special T-shirts. I’ll make sure it’s washed and get a proper background for it this time. The color is Crystal Red and is quite stunning when cleaned properly. I had just returned from Austin when I took these pics, where we traveled through lots of dust and smoke from the tragic wildfires in that area. Enjoy your ride, Beverly K., Houston TX
