This month is going to be a very busy month, I will be spending three days at the New York auto show, and I have a lot of pictures that people sent in. Our e-mail newsletter is getting a ton of new subscribers, and I am grateful for that. I love spreading the news about Cadillac, and I love that a lot of people are interested in both new Cadillacs and the old Cadillacs.
I have to draw a fine line because some people join the newsletter to get info on the latest Cadillac and some people join to see pictures of older Cadillacs. Like it said in the past if the newsletter doesn’t interest you, odds are the next one will. I don’t get a lot of complaints, actually if I get a complaint a year it’s a lot. Most people see the hard work I put into the newsletter and I appreciate that.
I just recently joined the forum where they talk about professional cars. I have been having a lot of fun seeing the old Cadillac ambulances like the one in the picture. You can click on the car and see more of the ambulances that we have on the site. If you are interested in joining their forum feel free and I’ll see you over there.
I’ve given thought about hiring somebody and have them maybe post a newsletter once a week but I’m still giving it some thought. If I hire somebody to write about the new Cadillacs, I can focus on the older models. I have been doing this for a long time by myself so it’s something I have to think about. I would also have to find a person, if you think you are the right person send me an e-mail. Vinny@cadillaccountryclub.com
I have to thank Wes again for sending in all those pictures of the Cadillac show in town square in Las Vegas Nevada. It’s not everyday that I get to make seven pages on the same topic but since it was so many pictures I had to break it up. I did this because loading a lot of pictures on a webpage takes a lot of time to load and we still have people using dial-up for their Internet connection.
Is there anything Cadillac related that you would like to see on the site that is missing? If there is send me an e-mail or leave a comment and I will address it. The only way I can make the site better is by knowing what you guys want to see.
I could go on and on and on about the new CTS-V coupe I am sure that will annoy the people that come here to see the old Cadillacs. I like keeping the mix 50-50 or so. So with that said the rest of the month of April will feature both new and old.
The new being some of the pictures I take at the auto show, and the old will be a status update on Paul’s progress as he fixes up his 1959 Cadillac. I am way behind on keeping up with Paul’s Progress. I’m sure many of you are waiting for the pictures from him as he restores his car.

I have an elderly neighbor who has asked me to help her sell her 1991 Seville STS. It’s in great condition and only has 81,000 miles. We sold the car today and when the new owner pulled an NADA VIN report it said that the car had 125,000 miles as per the Oregon DMV when she renewed her tags in 2010. The previous mileage from 2008 was 74,000 and the odometer currently has 81,000 on it. Somehow the DMV enetered 125,000 erroneously as it’s obvious she could not have driven and additional 107,000 miles since 2008. The purchaser rescinded his offer and requested the return of funds he used to hold the car.
I noticed the odometer and all the other guages are digital. Can anyone tell me the maximum number of miles the odometer will record? I would think it goes higher then 99,000, but I’m wondering how to verify that. The only other thing I can think oto do is to go to the Oregon DMV to try and get them to change the record. Any ideas?
