Happy New Year – Hope you are not like me a little hungover and sitting on the couch watching the Barret Jackson Marathon on the Speed Channel. This is a rerun of last years show and they had some really cool Cadillacs up for auction. It was fun to watch, I just had to get up off the couch to make this post.
There was a 1958 Eldorado Biarritz convertible 815 that sold for $150,000. A 1935 Cadillac Series 40 FLeetwood special convertible from Florida with the original build sheet that went for $275,000. The Cadillac I liked was a 1959 Coupe De Ville that was custom that had no tail fins. Owned by Raymond Lloyd Who was friends with Howard Hughes who wanted the car but Raymond wouldn’t sell it to him. It sold for $147,000.
