I just returned from the Barrett-Jackson auction where I watched the BatMobile sell for 4.2 million dollars. The energy in the room was amazing to say the least. We were way in the back and we couldn’t even see the car on the stage as there was too many people in our way and on the stage. I was lucky to meet Joe Fortuna who was working the Cadillac Club, Sonoran Region booth. Joe and I have been exchanging emails and it was nice to meet another Cadillac fan that reads our newsletter. Thanks for your hospitality Joe! It was my pleasure talking Cadillacs with you.
I just wanted to share some pictures with you that I took at the show. It was my first Barrett-Jackson auction and I was amazed at the size of it all. I was not expecting so many exhibitors, especially not in the car niche. There was mattress companies and handbags (which we bought one).
I was surprised that the car brands had new cars here. I don’t know why I wasn’t expecting it but I had to take a picture in front of the new Cadillac XTS.

WOW! That is all I can say. Were any of the first three pictured (Red, Gold, and Yellow sold? If so, how much did they fetch?

They were all beautiful. These pictures were taken with an iPad and they came out pretty good. I didn’t see any of the prices that they sold for. They just said sold on the windshield.

Extremely inspiring ! Maybe someday we will make this auction a trip to see! Never knew that they had new cars on display either! I think that was a 56 Caddy also! Love the pics

Yeah almost every manufacturer has new cars. They had the new mustang on a dyno machine for all to see the power. There is probably 500, maybe 1000 vendors where you can get everything from leather jackets to time shares. It is really an event to attend.
