Cadillac Pictures From East Coast Car Association Show

We are back in NYC for a while as we do more paperwork before the city raises our house. While that happens I get to go to the East Coast Car Association car show at Resorts World. This past Tuesday my girlfriend Debbie and I both went and it was her first time there but she loved it. She is a photographer also and she loves taking pictures of classic cars. On this night there was a new Cadillac at the show for me a white 1977 Seville that was a barn find of sorts. I should say the car was stored inside a garage for years until they decided to sell it. She was a beauty white red interior and white vinyl roof. I think my next Cadillac will be a 1977 Seville. I just loved it. I think I need a new project car anyway.

Changing the Website A Little

I have decided that we need to change the look of this part of the site so I can provide better pictures. This format has done us great and I hate change but the time has come. This will probably happen over the weekend, and it is being done because the site now doesn’t look good on tablets or iPads or smartphones. It will not be as noticeable and probably look a lot like our sister site Caddychat.com since that is already set up for mobile.

Cadillac LaSalle Club Grand National Pictures

Our friend Earle sent in a bunch of pictures from the 2014 Cadillac LaSalle club’s Grand National event held in Lake George New York. I was sorry I couldn’t make it this year as I was still on the West Coast. I am so glad that Earle went and took a bunch of pictures. It is also a good test for our new picture gallery on the site. Iola ’14 to feature 3 concept cars – Old Cars Weekly

Three of the most valuable postwar four-doors will be coming to the 2014 Iola Old Car Show in Iola, Wis. — the 1955 Chevrolet Biscayne concept car, the 1955 LaSalle II sedan concept car and the 1966 Duesenberg prototype.

It comes as no surprise that Cadillac is bringing in younger drivers with the low cost entry with the ATS. Cadillac has been trying to get younger fans for years.

The official top five results are as follows: Lincoln’s consumers average 61 years old, Buick follows with 60.3 years of age, and Cadillac and Bugatti tie for third spot at 59.5 years. Lexus rounded out the top five with an average age of 56.9.

Despite this, the average age of their customers continues to decline.

I loved Evil Knievel! Think about it, he was a daredevil that was shown as a sports star. You may have called him crazy but you watched his stunts. Not many people know that Evil loved Cadillacs and had this one custom made for him to put his bikes in the back. Take a look at Evil’s car.

Automobile lovers will watch as hundreds of classic cars roll into Cadillac this weekend. Back to the Bricks is returning for the third year in a row June 7 and 8. Mitchell Street in downtown Cadillac will be closed to allow the showcasing of more than 300 classic cars from across the state and region. Saturday’s events kick off at 11 a.m. at Godfrey Chevrolet with a Blessing of the Classics. After the blessing, there will be a cruise around the lakes and a fun run to 10 locations around the area. The fun run is a car cruise in which participants go to various locations where they collect stamps to exchange for playing cards in order to make up their best poker hand. Participants can purchase a fun run card for $5 at Godfrey’s from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday. They must be turned in at McGuire’s Resort between 4 and 6 p.m. Saturday.

Cadillac Record Sales in May

Since I have been out in Phoenix all I am seeing is brand new ATS, SRX, and XTS’s. I guess todays press release from Cadillac explains the reasons for that. Cadillac had a record number for sales in the month of May. I wish I could see a breakdown of exactly how many sold by state because I am sure Arizona has to be one of the best states when it comes to sales. For Immediate Release: Tuesday, June 3, 2014 Cadillac Sales Mark Best May Since 2007 Total sales up 6.4 percent year-over-year DETROIT – Cadillac’s U.S. sales showed continued growth with an increase of 6.4 percent in May, the best May since 2007. More than half of Cadillac buyers in May were new to the brand, not trading in a Cadillac vehicle.
