Cadillac Driving Tour Through Texas

By Vinny O'Hare

It is going to be a busy few days here as I have a lot of information to share in the next few days. Some of it about the new Cadillac racing team and some more pages about Paul’s 1959 Cadillac restoration. If you are in the Texas area read below as this sounds like a really cool event.

The North Texas, the Gulf Coast and the Central Texas Regions of the Cadillac LaSalle club are hosting the 2011 Annual Driving Tour, the Palo Duro Canyon Tour, and we are looking at a big turnout. The tour is June 7th -11th. This is going to be a very exciting tour with a lot of beautiful Texas scenery from the panhandle area, and some very interesting places.

We are looking at five big days plus an additional option trip for early arrivals. Here is the registration form or you can get the form on their website North Texas Cadillac Lasalle Club. http://www.clcntx.com/Grandnationtour2011/2011_Driving_Tour_registration_form-computer.pdf

Here is the write-up from Rubye Musser, NTXCLC club president:

Whoopee Ki Yay! Please join us on the Caprock. Caprock is the elevation as you enter into and experience the happenings in the Handle of the Pan of Texas (Panhandle). Your ears will pop. I know you all know where Amarillo and the Palo Duro Canyon (second largest canyon in the U.S.) are located. We are not in West Texas but the High Plains.

June is a beautiful time of year, not scorching hot during the day, and cool in the evenings (bring a light sweater or jacket). Our host hotel is Country Inn Suites, 2000 Soncy Rd., Amarillo, phone 806-356-9977 Located off the north side of I-40 west of downtown Amarillo, exit 64, a quiet and patrolled area. Overflow will be next door at the Comfort Inn, 2300 Soncy Road, 806-457-9100. Western or casual attire will fit right in. North Texas Region, Gulf Coast and Central Texas Regions will be your hosts. So, come on down and have a wild western summer with us.

2008 Cadillac XLR Video

By Vinny O'Hare

I was just thinking about the upcoming New York Auto Show and dug up a cool video I took in 2008 of a Cadillac XLR. The paint on this car was amazing and it was funny that they kept telling the kids to stop touching it. Of course when you tell a kid that they are only going to touch it more. The audio is a little rough but I think you will see how amazing this Cadillac really was.

Hope you enjoy the video.

Pictures From The Auto Collection Show

By Vinny O'Hare

As I promised I made a few pages from all the pictures I took at the Auto Collection show at the Imperial Palace casino. This time around I also took some pictures of other classic cars besides the Cadillacs.

While I was making these pages it occurred to me that I should have a list of the upcoming car shows so I made a page for that also. I could use your input so if you know of any car shows please let me know. You can see the Car Shows page here.

Here are the pages I just made – Auto Collection –Classic cars – Classics – and  Race cars. I hope you enjoy them. I left the pictures a little bigger then I usually make them for your enjoyment.
