1972 Cadillac Sedan De Ville

By Vinny O'Hare

Just saw this one over on Hemmings. It is a 1972 Cadillac for sale. The interesting thing is the way the owner put on these special rims but is throwing in the original rims also. Lots of people think the car would sell better with the original rims on it, myself included. 1972 Cadillac for sale.

Was watching the auctions on TV this past weekend and I was amazed at the prices of some of the cars. I don’t know if it was the economy or what but there were some good prices on classics like this 1962 Cadillac. She sure is a beauty.

For those looking to buy a new Cadillac SRX here is an excellent review from Milwaukee Journal. Very good review of the features of the new SRX. I am busy getting our site up to speed when it comes to the SRX. If anyone has one and want to do a review for the site and send in pictures to show off feel free to send it in.

It is only a matter of time before we start seeing the Cadillac XTS on the roads all over the place. The plan is for the XTS to replace the STS and the DTS when it comes out in 2012. I like the look of the car as it continues Cadillac’s recent addition of sleek lines that I love. You can see more about the Cadillac XTS here on Autotrader.ca.

New Cadillac vs Old Cadillac

By Vinny O'Hare

I get a lot of emails asking me when the next newsletter is coming out. I will be the first to admit that I have been slacking off lately, guess the warm weather has me outside more often. Another problem I get is the quality of the newsletter, well I shouldn’t say quality I should say what quality content should be in the newsletter. Our site is made up of classic Cadillac’s but I get a lot of newsletter sign ups coming from the late model pages.

I would like to think that owners of 1950’s Cadillac’s won’t mind that I include some stuff from the newer models and the newer owners won’t mind seeing pics and tips about a 1967 Cadillac.  It is a fine line between the two and I battle with this every time I send out a newsletter. Often I will write up a newsletter and then scrap the whole thing because it focused too much on one genre. I think I have a solution though.

From now on I will send a few more newsletters then usual and include either both type of content or just focus on one genre. The newsletters will be a little shorter but I will send them more frequently. If the newer models are not your thing just take a glance over and delete. I appreciate your patience with this and I would love to hear feedback on it. Ok now on to whats new.

I was just on Edmund’s website and they have a nice article on the 2011 Cadillac CTS Coupe. I am sure this car is going to be a big seller. After seeing the reaction of the people at the Cadillac’s at the New York auto show I have no doubt the sleek models Cadillac is coming out with are going to sell like hotcakes.

Cadillac is helping sales with their new maintenance policy for Cadillac’s bought in 2011. You can read more about it on Cadillac.com. I think this plan is genius and will help out when a new Cadillac buyer is on the fence with his/her buying decision.

I have become more active over on Twitter. I am meeting some really cool people that have awesome Cadillac websites. If you are on Twitter follow me @Caddychat, Follow Bruce @CaddyInfo and of course follow @Cadillac.

I have been seeing a lot of sign ups to our newsletter from readers looking for info on 1970’s Cadillac’s. I don’t know exactly why the sudden interest but my guess is their are a growing amount of them being restored. I am glad to see the recent activity and glad to help people find parts and stuff.

Thanks for being on our list, I really appreciate the time you spend reading “Our newsletter”.

New moderator at CaddyChat

By Vinny O'Hare

I was talking to my friend Fred Ganderson over the weekend and he was talking all about cars. I have known Fred for many years but I had no idea of his knowledge about cars.

I mentioned to Fred that I ran a forum all about Cadillac’s and he jumped on board and asked how he could help. I had him sign up at Caddychat.com and made him a moderator. I hope you welcome Fred into our family of Cadillac lovers.
