Today was the first day that I attended the New York Auto Show and I was amazed by the amount of good looking Cadillacs once again. It was really hard to choose pictures to put in the post as both the ATS and the XTS looked amazing.
The new Cadillac XTS features a 3.6L direct injection engine and advanced all-wheel drive system, marking a shift to more-efficient performance in a spacious luxury sedan. The XTS also has a limited slip differential, Magnetic Ride Control and rear air suspension.
Ok that’s the technical specs, what I saw was a hot Cadillac. Cadillac really did a great job on the replacement for the STS and the DTS. There were two XTS’s on display today and I had a hard time choosing between which color I liked the best.
This was a metallic brown color that almost looked silver to me. It was just sharp looking in person. I will have plenty of pictures over the next few days. I had a lot of fun learning from the smart people on the show floor. Another highlight of the day was my walk-through of the Cadillac Cue system which is the future of all cars and Cadillac is once again the front runner.
Speaking of Cadillac being the front runner, it was 100 years ago that Cadillac introduced the first electric start vehicle at the NY Auto Show.
As I was getting out of the Cadillac Cue simulator which by the way is a replica of the XTS interior and comfortable beyond belief Donald Trump and his daughter Ivanka took my place. Kind of exciting that I was in the right place at the right time to get a good picture of them with Don Butler of Cadillac.
Looking forward to taking more pictures tomorrow and learning more about the ground-breaking things Cadillac is doing. It is a very exciting time in the history of Cadillac.
