Cadillac CTS-V returns to Racing

By Vinny O'Hare

As you have seen on previous post Cadillac is returning to racing with the CTS-V. Cadillac has put together a few short films showing off the new race car. The car will hit the streets of Long beach March 25th-27th during the Sports Car Club of America  World Challenge GT Series.

You can see more on Cadillac YouTube Channel.

In addition to the film series, Cadillac will also be hosting a live chat on the Cadillac V-Series Tab on Facebook so that racing enthusiasts and fans can talk with the Cadillac Racing Team and participate in an open forum discussion during the actual racing event. So when Cadillac makes its storied return to the racetrack, they will not only be breaking new ground on the track, but they will be driving down new paths in social media as well. Live dialogue between racing fans and the racers themselves will be the first of its kind, and only marks the beginning for what’s to come from Cadillac.

Cadillac Driving Tour Through Texas

By Vinny O'Hare

It is going to be a busy few days here as I have a lot of information to share in the next few days. Some of it about the new Cadillac racing team and some more pages about Paul’s 1959 Cadillac restoration. If you are in the Texas area read below as this sounds like a really cool event.

The North Texas, the Gulf Coast and the Central Texas Regions of the Cadillac LaSalle club are hosting the 2011 Annual Driving Tour, the Palo Duro Canyon Tour, and we are looking at a big turnout. The tour is June 7th -11th. This is going to be a very exciting tour with a lot of beautiful Texas scenery from the panhandle area, and some very interesting places.

We are looking at five big days plus an additional option trip for early arrivals. Here is the registration form or you can get the form on their website North Texas Cadillac Lasalle Club. http://www.clcntx.com/Grandnationtour2011/2011_Driving_Tour_registration_form-computer.pdf

Here is the write-up from Rubye Musser, NTXCLC club president:

Whoopee Ki Yay! Please join us on the Caprock. Caprock is the elevation as you enter into and experience the happenings in the Handle of the Pan of Texas (Panhandle). Your ears will pop. I know you all know where Amarillo and the Palo Duro Canyon (second largest canyon in the U.S.) are located. We are not in West Texas but the High Plains.

June is a beautiful time of year, not scorching hot during the day, and cool in the evenings (bring a light sweater or jacket). Our host hotel is Country Inn Suites, 2000 Soncy Rd., Amarillo, phone 806-356-9977 Located off the north side of I-40 west of downtown Amarillo, exit 64, a quiet and patrolled area. Overflow will be next door at the Comfort Inn, 2300 Soncy Road, 806-457-9100. Western or casual attire will fit right in. North Texas Region, Gulf Coast and Central Texas Regions will be your hosts. So, come on down and have a wild western summer with us.
