A couple weeks ago I was talking to Paul over on Facebook and I learned he was in the middle of restoring a 1959 Cadillac Sedan Deville. Paul agreed to share his pictures with us and some of the steps he is taking along the way to bring his Cadillac back to life.
We have made the first page and Paul is going to keep us updated as he goes along. He has already taken many pictures and he is looking forward to sharing them with our readers. This will be an ongoing topic over the next few weeks as we watch Paul’s progress. I am looking forward to watching myself. He is a link to Paul’s first page with the before pictures of his 1959 Cadillac.

Paul…I live in Calif and had one very similar, is your lt. blue? Good luck with the restoration.
Paul Oakley says
Thanks Lance
The original colour was Rosewood but she has had a few coats of primer since, the original paint is only evident behind the trim and areas like that. She has now been sand blasted back to bare metal and I am a little past that stage as well 🙂 Thanks for the interest!

Good Luck, Paul. Old Caddys are too cool to crush so I am glad you have taken this on. I am wrapping up work on a ’60 and will be swapping out the original steel rims for some wires so if you want to discuss a deal let me know.

Hi mate, thanks for having a look. Got to say that Caddys of all ages grab my attention but particulaly love the 59s and 60s! thanks for the offer but I have got a new set of rims and have had them blasted and repainted and ready to go back on the old girl.
Hope you have many happy years of motoring from your lady as well!
