I just came across a cool thing for Cadillac fans. The real question is will your wife going to let you buy this and put it in your living room. I have no connection to the people selling this, I just thought it looked cool and wanted to share it with you all.

Long Island Car Show

Tomorrow is the make up date for the NY Auto Fest car show in Port Washington because it rained last Sunday. Odds are I will be there, I don’t know if I will get there at 9am when it starts but I am going to try. Justin Bieber’s New Cadillac Escalade

Looks like another Celebrity has bought a new Cadillac as Justin Bieber was seen driving a new Cadillac Escalade. Not that many of our members care about him but I think it is cool whenever a celebrity chooses to buy a Cadillac and help the brand. Of course I would rather spend my time talking about Rita Hayworths 1953 Ghia.

I often get asked in E-mails if there is anything readers can do to help the club out. If you are using social media at all, like being on Facebook, Twitter or Google+ you can help by placing a link to the site either in your profile or Just copy and pasting the newsletter on to your wall for others to enjoy. At the end of every post on here you will see some buttons to Tweet it out or share on Facebook or even to give it a + on Google. I would appreciate any help we can get so share away.

If you need any help with this just send me an email and I will explain further, The more Cadillac fans we get participating the better the club will be.

Cadillac Weekend Update

I missed posting on Wednesday but that is ok since a lot of our readers are on vacation it won’t be missed that much. This gives me the chance to send out an email on a Friday instead. I thought I would find some cool car links for some weekend reading and see if you guys like it. For those new here I try to send out a newsletter on Wednesday and Sunday.

First off I have to take my hat off to you guys. I swear we have the best Cadillac fans in the world. Many people from all over the world chimed in on What year is this Cadillac thread that Michael asked me to post. When he sent the first email I had no idea it would get this much traction. I am humbled by the amount of knowledge our club has. I did some checking and would you believe that post was seen by people in over 93 countries. That to me is amazing, I wish I could shake all your hands 🙂

July 4th Car Shows

This weekend I have a car show that is almost nearby so I may take it in. I didn’t see any Cadillacs on the menu so I may bail at the last minute. If anyone is nearby you should try to make it. It looks like fun. It is in Port Jefferson and should be a good time. Leave a comment below if you are going to be there and maybe we can say hello.

I was just reading a cool article on Kiplingers.com It highlights the best cars for long road trips. I found it quite amusing that no Cadillac made their list but they have some funny comments. You should check it out. One I really disagree with is the Mustang V6 convertible. I would rather cruise in a Cadillac XLR with the top down.

Cadillac Upgrading their Showrooms

I have posted about this before but this article on how dealers are sprucing up their showrooms. It looks like all dealers are doing this and I can’t blame them. People want to see modern showrooms when they are spending their money. Speaking of dealers, if you are familiar with your local Cadillac dealer you should let them know that they can post their Cadillacs for sale on the forum. I always liked helping people find the Cadillacs they want so if giving the dealers a space on the forum will help that then I am all for it. If you have a Cadillac for sale you can also list it there.

Finding Cadillac Parts on EBay

Well it comes time to change up the site a little, I get bored with the same old design and I am sure you guys are too. While I am still tweaking the design and will probably rearrange the logo in a few days I wanted to tell you why the change. A few weeks ago I signed up with EBay to start selling parts and stuff. Since most of the emails I get is people looking for parts I decided to add a widget to the site. As you can see it is over on the right side. EBay pays me a small percentage when people buy the parts they need and it helps Cadillac owners find the parts they need and save money too. For everyone it is a win-win as people can find parts they need cheaper and easier and I get help with web site hosting money. I hope you like the search box and will use it and the other EBay links I have scattered throughout the site.

Comments on the Site

This week we had an all time high when it comes to comments on a post. Michael’s “What year is this Cadillac” got almost 30 responses and he is much appreciated. We will have to come to a conclusion soon on that as most people don’t think it was a 1949 Cadillac. I personally think its a 1946 but its hard to tell. Either way it was great to have so many members chime in on a thread.

Cadillac Repair Manuals

I just remodeled the page that I send everyone to when they are looking for a Cadillac repair manual. The page was kind of old and it needed to be redone as most of the places I had on the page either stopped carrying the manuals or they went out of business. Now I send people looking for manuals to EBay most of the time anyway. Cadillac repair manuals page is much better now and easier to use.

Cadillac Forum Update

Over on the forum we have someone that is looking for a Cadillac expert in St Louis. If anyone is in the area feel free to chime in and lend a hand.

I have been busy as well as member Wesride putting up some videos and other cool pictures up on the forum. Did you know that members can put up their own pictures of their Cadillacs? After you sign up just go to Community > Albums and upload your pictures. I have made it easier with a Facebook account to sign up now. Just click on the Facebook icon on the top right and get started. Wesride just added 20 pictures from the classic Cadillac show in Las Vegas. Enjoy and I hope to see you on the forum.
