While this seems to be a newsletter filled with Cadillacs from the 1960’s era take a look at this beauty. 1963 Cadillac Series 62 Convertible that almost looks like the batmobile with its fins and glossy black paint. Glossy black 1963 Cadillac.

Classic 1956 Cadillac DeVille Convertible For Sale

By Vinny O'Hare

Got an email from Dan who is helping a friend sell a 1956 Cadillac Deville Convertible.

1956 cadillac

You are looking at a beautiful classic original 1956 Cadillac Convertible Coupe DeVille that is super powerful and just “flies.” The current owner got it from a friend in the Kentucky area who kept it in a storage container for 6 years. The odometer shows 31833, but it is safe to assume it went around once. The rebuilt Eldorado engine with 2 four barrel carburetors, runs well, but could use a tune-up. New brakes. The bumper area has a squeak you can hear on the video, but goes away when the suspected area is WD40ed–should be an easy fix. Has red paint and white leather interior. Comes with a perfectly working town and country “Wonderbar” radio, including the electric antenna that raises and lowers… The electric top is operational (see video).
The “extras” for this car are amazing:
–> A 1956 car record player (shown in the video) and is including it with this sale.
–> Books: Cadillac Shop Manual, Cadillac Master Parts for 1956, Cadillac Service Bulletin, various pictures and sales brochures.
–> Extra grill and bumper set with almost all of the chrome trim.
–> Spare Wonderbar radio (untested).
–> New (old stock) Spotlight (in its original box) specifically for this car, but never installed.

Note: This car is located in the San Francisco Bay Area.

The car is currently up for auction on EBay You can see the car here.

1988 Cadillac STS Concept

By Vinny O'Hare

Fred from Pennsylvania sent in a few pictures of his 1988 Cadillac STS. Here is some of the info Fred sent me.

1988 cadillac Seville

This STS is interesting in that it was one of the first STS units built. I have verified the vehicle and it is a pre-production prototype of the 1989 STS consumer vehicles. The car was custom built in May of 88 and shipped to a dealer in NH. The 1988 STS wasn’t shown to the public until June of 88 at the Detroit Grand Prix. Production started in June and 1499 were built. This particular car has a sticker on the door identifying it as having been custom built be the C&C group (Cars & Concepts) for the Cadillac division. Here is the picture if you care to use it, and I have included a picture of the C&C sticker.

You can see more pictures and information on our 1988 Cadillac STS concept page. Thanks Fred for sending it in I really appreciate it as I am sure our readers will also.

I got an email asking for help with their 94 if anyone has any ideas send me an email or leave a comment. Here is the email.

I have a 94 Concours with the Northstar engine that is overheating. Have replaced the water pump (this was the original problem when it started leaking around the o-ring seal, radiator, hoses, etc. The car sat for 5 years but now I have it running, but it still overheats. I suspect sediment in the heads, and am wondering if anyone knows of a cleaner that may remove the scale without having to result to pulling the heads to be ‘boiled out’. There is no evidence of antifreeze in the oil or in the cylinders, checked by pulling the plugs,

Suggestions? Many thanks,
Ed
