History of Cadillac Video

By Vinny O'Hare

One of our Facebook group members made a video on the history of Cadillac. Thought I would share it. I hope you enjoy it. If yo like it please share it.

We Have Finally Moved To Arizona

It has been about 10 years in the making but we have finally made the move to Arizona. We put the house up in NYC for sale a few weeks ago and have an apartment in Tucson. We bough an acre of land in Benson Arizona but it has all sorts of hassles with it and putting a house on it seems to be impossible. Once we sell the NYC house we will buy something already built.

For those of you that have been members here for 10 years you know the struggle we have had. It is nice to be at the end of the journey.

2023 Cadillac Lyriq Details

By Vinny O'Hare

While I didn’t go to the NY Auto show this year to see it in person Cadillac just put out a video with some of the details in their new electric vehicle the Lyriq.

I know most of our readers are classic Cadillac guys we always have to keep an eye on the future. I really like the design except the silver emblems.

At this point I am pretty sure my next car will be electric so I am trying to keep up with all the technology that is involved. I am glad Cadillac is going back to naming cars with actual names instead of trying to copy the foreign car market.

Cadillac dealers will be taking LYRIQ orders starting May 19. The cars are being built in Spring Hill Tennessee.

The Lyriq comes standard in rear-wheel-drive form with an electric motor at the rear axle. All-wheel drive is optional and adds a second electric motor at the front to power the front wheels. Cadillac hasn’t released any details about the Lyriqs’ all-wheel drive powertrains yet, so we don’t exactly know how much horsepower they’ll make. The rear-wheel drive version is said to produce 340 hp. Either way, acceleration will be quick, at least at low speeds, thanks to the instantaneous nature of an electric motor’s power delivery. 0-60 in 4.3 seconds is very fast for any car and I am sure everyone will love the power.

It is nice to see Cadillac come into the market with an SUV instead of one of those tiny electric vehicle’s being pushed on us from other car companies.

What are your thoughts? Are you going electric?

I Have New Daily Driver: 2016 Buick Enclave

By Vinny O'Hare

I want to introduce you to a new member of our family. I just picked up a 2016 Buick Enclave. Her name is “Betty” named after Betty White who recently passed away. She is replacing the 2003 Buick Rendezvous which I picked up to bring stuff across the country as we moved to Arizona. I put almost 200k miles on “Annabelle” and she was starting to require more maintenance than I was prepared to spend. In the last few months she got new tires, new thermostat and hoses, and new brakes. She is almost new at this point. I just can’t trust her anymore to get me safely across the country. She is going to become my nephews first car.

2016 Buick enclave

I bought Betty at Cactus auto in Tucson, the same place I bought Annabelle from years ago. While I am still a Cadillac guy they are just not building the car I need for a daily driver. I need storage and the ability to tow something. Yes I hear ou that I could get an Escalade but I find it too big and too much to spend for gas.

I have already driven Betty from Tucson to NYC. Now I am preparing to drive her back in a few weeks along with whatever we have left and our pets. I may tow a small cargo trailer if it is needed but now I am doubting it. I made some videos for Betty’s new YouTube channel of the drive. I hope you subscribe and watch a few videos so Youtube sees that people like the channel and show it to more people.
