For Sale: 1961 Cadillac Deville – Lake Orion, MI

Up for sale is a great example of a 1961 Cadillac Sedan DeVille. To start, this is an all original 1961 Deville with just over 56,000 original miles on it. Comes standard with the 390cid V8 package that is accompanied by the Hydraglide 3spd transmission, A/C, AM radio, leather/cloth interior matching the body paint (gold/white), wide white wall tires, and power everything. The entire interior was redone as of last summer and looks like brand new. It also has like new tires, new battery, water pump, cooling fan and fan clutch, air filter, and all of the fluids were flushed just this Spring (oil change, coolant flush, transmission flush). I also just recently had the transmission gone through and adjusted as well as the carburetor cleaned and throttle return spring replaced. All the chrome is in great shape with no pitting or blemishes. Paint is in great condition except for a couple very small imperfections in the left front fender (shown in pictures). No rust on the body or underside of this car. It has only had two owners before me dating all the way back to 1961 and was always garage kept and winterized every year. It runs and drives beautifully with no issues and is a great cruiser with plenty of power. I have folders of paperwork including maintenance records, window sticker, etc. as well as extra parts such as air filters, bulbs, and color-matching paint that will all be included with the car. All in all this car is ready to be driven daily with no issues and would be a great addition to anyone’s collection. I live in Lake Orion, MI and I am asking $9,500 obo. Feel free to call, text, or email me with any questions or for additional information. Thanks, Kyle (248)840-9482

I added a section on the forum for Cadillac Auctions on EBay a few weeks ago and it is really getting a positive response. I suggest you bookmark the forum section as a favorite. New Cadillacs are added to the forum every few hours.

If you are a long time member of the club you know about the struggle I face when I send out a newsletter. There seems to be two groups of Cadillac owners and fans and it is the hardest thing I face with running the group.

When I send a newsletter and it only has classic Cadillacs in it I get hate mail from members that want only to see newer Cadillacs. It is the same way when I put a newsletter out that only has pictures of new Cadillacs. To be honest it bothers me to no end.

While nothing is going to change on this site, In the next newsletter you will hear all about it.

Memorial Day Weekend

By Vinny O'Hare

Cadillac CTS in Arizona

While we are out having a good time this weekend we must remember to give thanks to our Armed Forces for keeping us and the World a better place. The picture above was taken last week during a visit to Sedona Arizona. We took a little trip down Route 66 and had a great time.

I knew the Cadillac above would be my Memorial Day weekend post as soon as I saw it. It was taken in Slide Rock Park in Oak Creek Canyon. You may have heard about it on the news because the wild fires. The spot that this Cadillac is sitting in is now the staging area for the firetrucks. Very sad indeed.

When I saw the license plate I knew I had to stop and take a picture of it.

I know many of our members have served and I would like to take the time to say Thank You.

Route 66 Trip

Last week we took a little trip from where we are staying in Queen Creek Arizona up to Sedona Arizona. We stayed there for a few days then took a tour of Monument Valley which is in Southern Utah. We passed through Flagstaff and was on Route 66. The area is beautiful and looked like the 1950’s. If you ever plan to take a trip on Route 66 you need to make sure Flagstaff is part of the trip.

The day before we left Sedona I ran into a bunch of bikers when I was out taking pictures of the town. Of course this city boy had to go up and find out what they were doing. Turns out it was a group of British Wounded Warriors taking a motorcycle trip from San Diego to Colorado and back on Route 66. They were being lead on the tour by an American Wounded Warrior. Needless to say my Brooklyn accent had them all laughing. I felt really proud as they were telling me their stories.

They were well prepared and had a Hertz moving truck as a support truck and a extended van in case anyone got tired of riding. I wish I had a contact for them. Maybe one of you in England can find them and let them know about this post. I would appreciate it.

Next post will have some pictures of Route 66.

Teddy Bridgewater Buys His Mom a New Cadillac

By Vinny O'Hare

In a few days the NFL draft will be held in New York City. One of the players that will be drafted is a QB out of Louisville named Teddy Bridgewater. He made a promise to his mother that when he makes it he will buy her a pink Cadillac. Pink because she is a breast cancer survivor. This is a great video directed by Spike Lee that shows how much of a good young man he has become. Any NFL team would be lucky to have him. While you can question his size and his skill you can’t measure the intangibles like heart and leadership.

You may remember that I did the NYC Avon walk for a breast cancer cure a few years ago. While I am not doing it this year my daughter in law Liz will be doing it next week in Boston. If you feel like helping her reach her goal that would be great.
